Miscellaneous papers of Peck, one-time governor of Wisconsin and author of "Peck's Bad Boy." Included are form letters bearing Peck's signature as chair of the Democratic State Central Committee of Wisconsin concerning the 1896 presidential election, an 1897 letter from Peck to Silas Lamoreux, routine letters, 1891-1893, written to Peck as Governor, and a checkbook showing Peck's contributions to charity, 1897. A scrapbook contains clippings written by or about Peck relating mainly to his tour of Southern states and New England in 1908 to study conditions under state prohibition and to write syndicated newspaper articles on the subject. Several biographical essays precede the scrapbook.
